Here are some photos from the East-Side Gallery, which is the longest remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall, in all of its graffiti-filled glory.

Hi Budak...again...more wonderful pictures of sites in one of the world's most amazing cities. The wall is a grim reminder of the war...such a tragedy in history.
In picture #4, I remember hearing a story about the TV tower...the people wanted to build a church but of course the government built this tv tower instead and when the sun shines on it you can see a cross on the circular part of it...I'm sure there is a more detailed description but that's all I can remember...that was over 30 years ago for me :) Here's a challenge for you...I would love to see some pictures of Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church on Kurfurstendam...you have a such a keen eye for architecture and I know you would do a great job with that subject. I'll be checking back again...you're doing a great job and I'm letting my friends know about your wonderful blog.
I've been there ... The wall is great and not. Great for the historical values ... Not for what happened because of it. Anyway enjoy your stay in Deutschland (",)
ironically, I do abstract art I refer to my art as running abstract calligraphy and the artists that have inspired me the most are graffiti artists in my city and this is after auditing art history courses for five years great blog I will have to return and go back
