I was really looking forward for some pictures from Berlin... When I was in Berlin, the city was known as Europe's largest construction site. It's good to see the results. Amazing...

Alexanderplatz S-Bahnhoff.. your picture takes me to the numerous time I went there on and off the S-Bahn.. in fact, that was the first S-Bahn station that I hopped on in Berlin after a bus ride from Tegel. Keep the pictures coming!

Hi, Alex:

Catching up on your blog. Terrific writing and pictures! Hope all is well, and congrats on all these people sharing your experiences with you. As Tom Friedman has said, the world is flat, and it's amazing that these people you don't know and probably will never meet can share your thoughts and pictures through this fantastic medium. Incredible photographs--the light makes the landmarks you have chosen all the more striking, even surreal, in appearance. Why are you in Berlin? Would you consider returning?

Anonymous said...

Ooooh very nice. I've never actually been to Berlin... shame.

You should come down south and visit Nuremberg and even Munich sometime. It's pretty nice here. It's also alot more prestigious to say "Ich bin ein Muenchener" ;) :p.

Hi Budak,
More great pictures! Wondeful! You are quite the photographer :)
I've commented on your blog in the past and I mentioned that I had the pleasure of visiting Berlin 3 times during the 1970's. My husband was in the US Army and we lived in West Germany 3 times...Schweinfurt, Bad Nauheim and Baumholder. My family (both sides) are from Holland so I have many relatives in Europe...
I hope to one day visit Berlin again...A fascinating city and again...I thank you for keeping those memories alive.

I enjoy your pictures and trivia about Berlin and Germans. Have left Berlin in 1995 and miss it a lot. It's nice to see how it has changed in over 10 years.
Enjoy your stay, it is one of the most dynamic cities. I hope to visit soon again.
