Of Mosques and Minarets

Gujarat, the province in which Ahmedabad is located, is a heavily Muslim area. So, we figured that it was fitting -- before setting out to see the Hindu temples -- that we take in at least one Mosque. We decided to visit the Sidi Bashir Mosque, which is known for its shaking minarets.

The mosque was completed in 1452, and, to this day, it remains unclear why the minarets shake, especially while the connecting area between the two towers does not.
